Glenbrook
Technologies' proprietary real-time x-ray microscope technology
is now being used in the development and quality assurance
of stents, vascular filters, vascular closure devices,
catheters and heart valves.
This x-ray detector technology permits, for the first
time, highly detailed fluoroscopic x-ray images magnified,
in real-time, up to 25 times.
Fluoroscopic magnification of this degree, by the x-ray
detector alone has previously been unrealised.
This unique capability has contributed to the development
of a number of unique fluoroscopic systems.
The RoteX™ has been developed for
the study of blood clot trapping efficacy of vena cava
filters.
The Glenbrook "JewelBox" fluoroscopic systems are used
to study stent failure after fatigue testing and can video
record an x-ray movie of the actual deployment of the
stent.
By providing access ports in the JewelBox design, devices
under x-ray study can be actuated and deployed.
The JewelBox fluoroscopic movie feature is also employed
in a forensic role to study why a particular stent failed
to deploy.
